I love when I come across a really great blogging meme and this Alphabet Meme was too good to pass up. My friend Melissa from The Valentine RD opened my eyes to this one. P.S. I’m stealing her Alphabet graphic because it’s so darn adorable. I hope you don’t mind Melissa.

Alphabet Meme
A. Attached or Single? Attached. I’ve been married to David for 15 years.
B. Best Friend? Besides my husband, my BFF’s are Nell (who I’ve known since college) and Jodi (who I met when our kids were in pre-school together).
C. Cake or pie? Pie, as long as it’s a slice of hot apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
D. Day of choice? I love Sundays when we can sleep in, Temera makes coffee and we hang around reading the Sunday paper.
E. Essential Item? I go nowhere without my iPhone.
F. Favorite color? My favorites change often, but right now I’m loving a grayish lavender that I painted my bedroom in.
G. Gummy bears or worms? Love me some gummy bears.
H. Hometown? Stamford, Connecticut.(This is the house I grew up in.)
I. Favorite Indulgence? Getting a massage. Don’t do it often enough. I’m lucky if I get one a year.
J. January or July? July.
K. Kids? Three daughters… Temera (13), Amanda (10) and Lauryn (8).
L. Life isn’t complete without? My family.
M. Marriage date? 11/30/97
N. Number of brothers/sisters? 2 younger brothers.
O. Oranges or Apples? I’m allergic to apples so I’ll go with oranges. Much prefer fresh squeezed orange juice.
P. Phobias? I hate snakes and spiders. HATE.
Q. Quotes? I have a bracelet that I wear every day of my life… “Life is a journey, not a destination.” I try and remember that every time I get really stressed out about how things are going.
R. Reasons to smile? I have 3 of them… Temera, Amanda and Lauryn.
S. Season of choice? Fall. I love when it starts getting cooler and the leaves change.

U. Unknown fact about me? Not necessarily an unknown fact, but I used to be an interior designer and I worked with several celebrities early on in my career. Most of them were horrible to work with.
V. Vegetable? Like my favorite? I actually love broccoli and green beans. Call me crazy.
W. Worst habit? I tend to say “whatever” all the time and my husband hates it.
X. Xray or Ultrasound? Ultrasound - silly question - but the first time you see your baby is priceless.
Y. Your favorite food? It used to be Italian until I discovered Indian food. Mmmmm…. Naan…..
Z. Zodiac sign? Capricorn.
C. Contradiction or Q. Question…How can you enjoy apple pie but be allergic to apples?
When the apples are cooked down, it breaks down whatever part of the apple I’m allergic too. It’s the same for most tree-grown fruits: peaches, cherries and pears I’m allergic too as well, but not when they are cooked. It’s actual quite a common allergy. It developed as I got older, I never had it when I was a kid.
I love that house you grew up in beautiful! Oh and I’m the same way on the apples mentioned in the above comment as well as a ton of other fruits! It’s so weird!! I can’t eat raw fruits but if I cook them or eat them in fruit cups, I’m fine.
It’s like my mouth starts itching horribly!! I’m the same way with tree nuts and I didn’t think about the fact that the fruits I’m allergic to are all grown on trees too!

Yes! I didn’t even realize so many people had allergies like mine until a few months ago. I never liked nuts to begin with… it’s funny, but maybe my dislike of them has something to do with my body rejecting them due to an allergy. Something to think about.
